Bruce went with Robin Lane hitchhiking to the town of Woodstock, New York where she was going to spend the summer in a commune. He sadly said goodbye to Robin (who he grew very fond of on the trip) and continued his travels hitchhiking to New Mexico for a summer solstice gathering in the middle of the desert with Yogi Bhajan and a group of yoga students. He then hitchhiked on to California to meet friends from high school (David Tobias, Bob Milstein, and Arthur Promoff) then continued hitchhiking back to Miami, Key West, the Atlanta Pop Festival (he missed the Woodstock festival so wasn’t about to miss the Atlanta Pop Festival that summer).
